Abstract.
Abstracts submissions to present your original research at the PVOGS Women’s Health Conference 2023 are now open and will close on the 22nd May 2023 at 5pm AEST! If you have any interesting women’s health research you would like to present as a pre-recorded Oral Presentation (3 minutes) at our PVOG ANZ Webinar on 9th July 2023, as part of the PVOGS Women’s Health Conference, please read the following guidelines and submit your abstract via the Google form link at the bottom of this page.

Submission implies the authors’ agreement to publish the abstract on the PVOGS Women’s Health Conference Website and PVOGS Women’s Health Conference Booklet

Only one author per abstract can be nominated as the ‘presenting author’

Presenting authors must be registered to the PVOGS ANZ Webinar as part of the PVOGS Women’s Health Conference to be eligible

Presenting authors must also provide a short biography (50 words) and photo via the Abstract Submission Google Form to be posted on the PVOGS Women’s Health Conference website in the “Abstract Session” speakers section

Abstracts that have been submitted to and/or presented at previous PVOGS Women’s Health Conferences will not be accepted
Abstract Selection Process.
Abstracts will be reviewed by the PVOGS Panel and selected according to the following criteria:

Content: how does the abstract relate to the wider context of the O&G specialty
-
Abstract design: is the design appropriate for the aims of the abstract
-
Scientific rigor: does the abstract meet and exceed the threshold of scientific rigor
-
Grammar: is the abstract written well and understood
-
Originality: is the abstract original in idea
-
Delegate engagement: will it encourage thought and discussion amongst delegates

The best abstracts will be selected to be presented at the PVOGS ANZ Webinar on 9th July 2023 as part of the PVOGS Women’s Health Conference. If your abstract is selected to be a part of the PVOGS Women’s Health Conference, you will be required to submit a 3 minute pre-recorded Oral Presentation by the 2nd June 2023. The best pre-recorded presentations will be showcased at the PVOGS Women’s Health Conference. Presenting authors will receive individual feedback on their presentations from an experienced clinician researcher. This feedback will be sent directly to the presenting author and will not be shared to all attendees.
Oral Presentation Guidelines.
Please adhere to the following guidelines for your oral presentation:

3 minute maximum recorded video presentation

ONE slide or background figure may be used - this slide can be one of the following: a diagram, a graph, a picture, or any other appropriate figure

Please ensure optimal audio and visual quality

PVOGS ANZ will not be responsible for any further editing of videos once submitted
-
Submission implies the authors’ agreement for the video to be presented during the PVOGS ANZ Webinar on 9th July 2023 as part of the PVOGS Women’s Health Conference

All recorded video presentations must be submitted by 2nd June 2023. Failure to do so will imply that the presenting author has withdrawn their submission and will no longer be presented as part of the PVOGS Women’s Health Conference.
Awards.
The oral presentations will be scored by Prof Stephen Tong, leading clinician-scientist at the Mercy Hospital for Women. The highest scoring oral presentation will be awarded the “Best Oral Presentation” Award. This award will be presented at the conclusion of the PVOGS ANZ Webinar.
